Zena is an experienced Building Surveyor who has over 10 years’ experience working in the property maintenance sector. Having previously worked in the public housing sector, Zena has gained extensive experience working on housing refurbishment schemes of varied sizes as well as becoming an effective communicator with various stakeholders.
Zena’s role at pod has been varied, including contract administering for refurbishment schemes, writing specifications, and acting as the Employers Agent for a new build housing scheme along with assisting a Local authority with their new homes development. She has also carried out stock condition surveys and taken on the role as Principal and Adjoining owner surveyor for Party Wall matters.
Zena is passionate about restoring buildings of significant historical merit and admits that her highlight to date working at pod has been her role as contract administrator on the refurbishment of a 3-storey Grade II listed Georgian house in London.
Zena enjoys working in the construction industry and looks forward to the day when she attains full RICS membership accreditation.
When she’s not working, she enjoys travelling, particularly to places where she can practice speaking French, which she studied at degree level. Countries where she can explore and that are steeped deep in culture, are also of major interest when choosing where to go next.
When not watching her favourite London football team play, she likes showing off her own football skills with her son at the local park.
